The name
Khazana means treasure
In Urdu, khazana is a treasure: something precious, found and kept. The Treasury is built on that idea. Our menu gathers cooking from every corner of India, from the street stalls of Mumbai and Old Delhi to the royal kitchens of the princely kingdoms where many of its great classics were born.
We cook it the way it deserves: breads from the tandoor, sauces simmered every morning, and dishes plated with the care of a fine-dining kitchen.
The chef
Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi
Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi is one of India's most recognized celebrity chefs: the "Energy Chef of India", famous for his catchphrase namak shamak. A graduate of IHM Bhubaneswar, he became an executive chef with The Oberoi at 27 and cooked at The Regent and Taj Lands End before hosting Khana Khazana, the hit show Turban Tadka and, today, Laughter Chefs on Colors TV. He also leads Karigari, his restaurant chain across India.
At The Treasury, his menu brings that same spirit to Burlington: classics cooked with respect, and signatures you won't find anywhere else in the US, like Paneer Cigar Rolls, Crunchy Yogurt Eclairs and our Jack Daniel's-marinated JD Lamb Chops.
