Biryani at The Treasury

Dum-cooked biryani: saffron basmati and meat or vegetables, sealed and slow-cooked together in one pot.

We cook our biryani the dum way: rice and marinated meat or vegetables are layered, the pot is sealed, and everything steams slowly in its own aromas.

Choose bone-in goat, chicken in the Lucknowi style, paneer butter masala or seasonal vegetables. Every biryani is cooked with saffron basmati and whole spices.

Where it comes from

Biryani took shape in the royal kitchens of Mughal India, and each region made it its own: the delicate Awadhi (Lucknowi) dum biryani, the bold Hyderabadi, the Kolkata version with potato.

It is India's favorite takeout. On Swiggy, India's largest food-delivery app, biryani has been the most-ordered dish for ten years running, with 93 million orders in 2025 alone.
